Kelli’s Story

The July 10th Equest volunteers really dug in – literally! We spent the day digging up roots on the riding trail, spreading top soil and grass, and positioning sign posts along the entrance to the trail. The group worked great together as a team, often dividing up into smaller units to accomplish each task. It was a hot, hot day but we all agreed it felt great to break a sweat making a difference for the Center! At the end of the day, seeing the posts being placed for signage felt like a huge accomplishment.

It was a really special way to get out of the office (and maybe our comfort zone) and get to know some co-workers better. And seeing Dan drive the tractor was not to be missed! We’re all looking forward to seeing the results of everyone’s hard work when the trail is ready to be used!
